Bankruptcy success rate for student loan borrowers jumps to 87%, study finds

A recent study by the National Consumer Law Center found that the success rate for student loan borrowers discharging their debt in bankruptcy has significantly increased to 87%. This rise follows changes in judicial interpretation of the 'undue hardship' standard, making it easier for struggling borrowers to receive relief, particularly for private student loans.
